You may have noticed how Idaho Potatoes look and taste similar to Russet Potatoes… that is because Idaho Potatoes are Russet Potatoes that are grown in the state of Idaho!  As you can imagine & as we have discussed before, there are some areas & climates that are just more ideal than others for farming certain fruits & vegetables.  The state of Idaho is one of the most perfect places in the world to grow potatoes – rich, volcanic soil, climate & irrigation.  Russet potatoes are grown in many states; however, only those that are Grown in Idaho® can be called Idaho Potatoes.  🙂
