Pomegranates are in season now & the arils (the seeds) are the edible part of this delicious fruit! We want to share 2 simple ways that you an open a pomegranate (without making a mess)!

 

How to Open a Pomegranate: Method One with Knife and Spoon

  1. Cut
  2. Score ridges
  3. Break apart
  4. Enjoy!

How to Open a Pomegranate

How to Open a Pomegranate: Method Two with water and Jar

  1. Slice the pomegranate in segments.
  2. Submerge segment in a bowl of water and gently loosen with fingers (or shake if you have a lid)
  3. As you work with the arils loose, the pith will float and the seeds will sink.
  4. Skim the pith of the top, drain water, and enjoy!
