When preparing Brussels sprouts, you want to ensure to discard any dry or woody stems that are on the bottom of the sprout.

When it comes to serving Brussel Sprouts, you can serve them as the recipe follows below or dress them up a bit. You can top with feta or parmesan cheese, drizzle with a lemon vinaigrette or simply top with salt and pepper. If you have any leftover bacon in the kitchen, we recommend the combination of bacon, roasted Brussels sprouts and parmesan cheese!

How To Serve Roasted Brussels Sprouts

The ingredients are really simple:

  • Brussels sprouts
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Garlic

How to Make Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Preheat the oven to 400°.

Next, heat the oil in a cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Once hot, place the Brussels sprouts face down in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil so the salt and pepper sticks, and then top with garlic. Allow for the bottoms to lightly brown.

Place in the oven, and continue to cook for about 10-15 minutes, shaking the pan every 5 minutes until the sprouts are tender and roasted to your liking.

  • 1 pint Brussels sprouts washed and trimmed
  • 5-6 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp garlic
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°.
  • Heat oil in a cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Once hot, place the Brussels sprouts face down in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil so the salt and pepper stick and top with garlic. Allow for the bottoms to lightly brown.
  • Place in the oven and continue to cook for about 10-15 minutes, shaking the pan every 5 minutes until the sprouts are tender and roasted to your liking.
