Hands up if you are excited about grilling season! Cookouts bring people together and grilled food is some of the most delicious. And dining outside is just more fun! We love grilling vegetables and that includes sweet potatoes. Grilling brings out the natural sweetness of sweet potatoes. Grilled Sweet Potato Planks pair well with just about any grilled meat. Serve them alongside grilled chicken, burgers, or salmon.

Did you know that out of all vegetables, sweet potatoes rank number one in nutrition according to the Center for Science and Public Interest (CSPI)? Sweet potatoes are a great source of Vitamin C, vitamin B6, Vitamin D, and iron. They contain carotenoids (powerful antioxidants) that help ward off cancer and protect against the effects of aging. And because they slowly release their sugars, they don’t spike blood sugar which helps you keep a balanced level of energy. Grilled Sweet Potato Planks are a nutritious side item you can feel good about putting in your body.
